Claude Fennema, Professor of Computer Science at Mt. Holyoke College, today agreed to fund the construction of a small robotic vehicle that will be used to investigate and test computer vision strategies. The robot will then be used as the subject of a class scheduled for the following spring as part of Mt. Holyoke’s Computer Science Department.
The vehicle will be equipped with a modern, on-board computer processor, dual cameras, transmission and motor control via universal serial bus, and a host of communication options.
